The nine weeks’ course imparts intensive combat medical support training to young Armed Forces Medical and Dental Officers in order to empower them for effectively performing their duties and to transform these young professionals into medical and dental officers in uniform. The officers also participated in the ATLS Provider Course. They were taught about the latest technologies which are shaping the present generation wars.
The course comprised of 123 officers including 38 lady officers with Tri Services representation. The parade was marked by military precision and customary elegance. The Course Ending Parade was reviewed by Lieutenant General Shivinder Singh, AVSM, Commandant, AMC Centre & College, OIC Records and Colonel Commandant AMC.
Capt Sahil Tanwar of 159 Infantry Battalion Territorial Army (TA) was adjudged Best All Round Officer of the course and was awarded Commandant’s Rolling Trophy and he was also awarded Major Laishram Jyotin Singh, Ashok Chakra Memorial Trophy for being adjudged Best Officer in Field Events.

While addressing the young officers, the Reviewing Officer complimented them for their excellent turnout and meticulous conduct of parade and exhorted them to uphold the traditions of Armed Forces Medical Services by maintaining the highest order of professional competence. The General Officer advised the officers to continuously upgrade and build upon the knowledge imparted at Officers Training College. Stressing upon the opportunities provided by the Armed Forces, he encouraged them to work hard to further their professional aspirations and stand committed to quality patient care for our troops in field and peace.
A large number of Armed Forces Medical Services officers witnessed the parade along with more than 200 proud parents and relatives of the course officers.
